Neville Rustomjee is the founder and President of Hotel Brokers America, a boutique Hotel Brokerage firm in the Denver area. He has been an active and successful Hotel Broker for many years, and has developed a reputation in the market for closing deals.
His hotel sales and articles about the State of the Hospitality Market have been widely published in local and national publications, and he has been a featured speaker in a panel at a Hotel Conference.
As a licensed Independent Broker in the State of Colorado, and a Responsible Broker in the State of Wyoming, he exclusively represents buyers and sellers of hotel investment properties throughout Colorado and nearby states. Neville primarily focuses on the sale of hotels in the Mountain Region, including states of CO, UT, WY, NE, KS, OK, NM, MT, ID, SD, and ND. However, with an extensive national database from years of being a hotel broker, Neville can list a hotel anywhere in the US by collaborating with a local broker. He has worked with first time hoteliers; experienced private hotel investors; all the way up to large national and international Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
Prior to starting Hotel Brokers America, Neville was a First Vice President of Investments and Senior Director of the National Hospitality Group at Marcus & Millichap. In 2022 Neville was inducted as a Senior Investment Advisor (SIA), which is reserved for brokers who have attained the qualifying career earnings, and demonstrated a high level of professional achievement, and client service. At the time of leaving the company, Neville was a Top Ten Hotel Broker ‘nationally’ from over 100+ hotel brokers. Over ten years with the firm, Neville was consistently one of the Top Brokers in the Denver office among all product types, and one of the Top Hotel Brokers in their National Hospitality Group.
Neville is a Registered Architect in Colorado, and worked as a Project Manager with national and international firms. With over eighteen years of architectural experience, Neville has worked on a wide variety of commercial and institutional building types, including large resorts and hotels. His designs have been published in a national Journal.
Neville also holds two Associates of Science degrees (Solar Photovoltaic & Solar Thermal) in Renewable Energy Technologies and is NABCEP certified. His knowledge about the increasing cost of energy in buildings, includes an understanding of energy conservation, energy efficiency, passive solar design, and active solar systems.
Over the years, Neville has developed relationships with affiliated professionals in the hospitality business, including Lenders; Appraisers; Building Inspectors; Surveyors; Phase I Environmental Report companies; and Title Companies. His architectural project management skills allow him to oversee all parties involved with the sale of a hotel, and make sure each professional is making progress with their scope of work. This ensures that if problems surface with a deal, they are discovered quickly and measures can be taken to resolve them. His market knowledge and deal experience enable him to price hotel assets correctly, whether they be turnkey cash flowing deals, or pro-forma deals with upside potential. His architectural background allows him to creatively present deals, that on paper may seem challenging, but when the upside potential is explained, he convinces a Buyer to see the investment opportunity in a different light.
